I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
